About Coach

Growing up, I was a competitive gymnast, then transitioned to cheerleading in college; go Utes!! This set my path for a lifelong love of health, fitness, and helping others be their best. I started coaching gymnastics my senior year of high school and all through college, ranging from beginners to competitive levels. I furthered my love of helping others by going into physical therapy, graduating with an AAS as a Physical Therapist Assistant. I was introduced to CrossFit by Hillari in 2010 and was instantly addicted. I have been a client for six years and have been a coach since 2016. My coaching strengths are gymnastics, injury prevention (accessory work/mobility), and injury recovery (modifications/rehab). Outside the gym, I love to travel and do outdoor stuff with my husband, three kids, and two huskies. We often head to southern Utah to hike, rock climb, and mountain bike.

Turning Point

CrossFit was life-changing for me. I feel like an athlete again. I have a "team" again—a community to celebrate the wins with and encouragement during the lows. I'm nearly 50 years old and in the best shape of my life, which doesn't always mean how you look or how much you can lift. I'm talking about mental fitness (being social, endorphins, being proud of your accomplishments). Internally fit (bone density, cardiovascular, blood sugar, etc). This is about longevity. I want to ski when I'm in my 70s'. I want to have the mobility, strength, and balance to get up and down off the floor to play with my future grandkids.

Motivation & Passion

When you're passionate about something, you want to share it. I truly believe CrossFit is not just a sport but a place to learn lifelong health habits. It gives me a place to incorporate my love of fitness and skill with my knowledge of how the body works. I do well understanding different types of athletes and what style of coaching they need. I can recognize those who need more firm and direct coaching while others need more kind and encouraging.
