I was born and raised in North Idaho, where a love for sports, teamwork, and hard work became integral to my upbringing. My passion for organized sports began with Football, Basketball, and Track. I earned a scholarship to run at Boise State University thanks to some incredible high school coaches.
After college, I pursued my graduate studies at The University of Utah. During this time, I struggled to find the motivation to keep running as my primary form of exercise, and traditional gym memberships didn't appeal to me. Luckily, my brother introduced me to CrossFit, and I was immediately hooked.
In 2011, I joined a CrossFit affiliate, and I credit my first coach, Alli Tracy—now a good friend—with making CrossFit a permanent part of my life. CrossFit has become more than just a way to improve my fitness; it's a community, a hobby, and a passion that continues to drive me daily.
In 2014, my journey took a significant turn when I attended my first CFL-1 course. By then, I had earned both my bachelor's degree and doctorate, but it was the CFL-1 course that brought everything together. It connected my education, CrossFit journey, and desire to compete and coach. Shortly after, I began coaching and discovered a profound love for helping others on their fitness journey
As a Physical Therapist, I spend most of my time helping people recover from health issues, surgeries, or injuries. As a coach, I find immense joy in being proactive about health and fitness, opening people's eyes to what they are truly capable of. Helping others on their journey to better health and fitness is a deeply rewarding experience that fuels my passion and motivation daily.
