DAILY MINDSET

A common saying is that life is short.
Yet it’s a true statement as well, that life is plenty long. If of course, we use it correctly.
As Seneca quotes, “it’s not that we have too short a time to live, but that we squander a great deal of it.”
This can be interpreted in two ways – to do more, or, to value more.
The immediate interpretation may be to think of this as a push past our procrastination habits.
After some thought however, it’s second interpretation is to see the smaller things in life, those that we may be taking for granted. It’s not to do more, but to appreciate more.
To turn the “have to’s” into “get to’s”.
We don’t have to go to work – we get to. We get to have a job.
We don’t have to sit in traffic – we get to. We’re so fortunate to own a vehicle to drive in.
We don’t have to work out today – we get to. We’re couldn’t be more grateful to have this lifestyle rooted in health and wellness.
